Job description

You are a network and security engineer who looks for a varied job—one where you don’t just advise customers, but also showcase your hands-on technical expertise.

You want to be involved from the first customer conversation, shape the solution, deliver it, and own the technical outcome end-to-end.

What you will do

Presales & solution design

• Design solutions across networking, security, and cloud based on customer requirements—from initial scoping through full architecture documentation
• Respond to RFPs and RFIs, owning the technical content end-to-end
• Run customer demos and lead Proof of Concept engagements from scoping to outcome
• Build accurate BoMs
• Participate in customer-facing meetings alongside Sales to provide technical guidance

Project delivery

• Implement and configure the solutions you helped design in live customer environments
• Translate solution designs into production-ready deployments
• Proactively flag scope deviations and risks, ensuring clean handovers to operations

3rd line support & on-call

• Resolve complex escalations across networking, security, and cloud beyond 1st and 2nd line
• Engage directly with vendor support as the Jarviss technical lead
• Participate in the 24/7 on-call rotation, handling critical incidents decisively

Market & technology awareness

Identify opportunities for new services and share insights with Sales and management

Stay on top of networking, security, and cloud trends

What the role looks like in practice

You are not a full-time presales engineer. You are not a full-time consultant.

You are both — and that combination is what makes this role technically exciting.

One week, you are designing a secure network architecture for a new prospect, building the full solution, and presenting it to both engineers and a CISO.

The next, you are on-site deploying and validating that very solution—making sure what was sold is what gets delivered.

When complex issues arise that 1st and 2nd line cannot resolve… they come to you.

You will work across a broad and growing vendor stack, with network infrastructure as your foundation and security layered on top.

What we are looking for

• 3-5+ years of experience in a hands-on networking or security role (presales, solutions engineering, consultancy, or implementation)
• Solid understanding of core network services, cloud networking and security fundamentals
• Strong communicator in French and/or Dutch, and English
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple parallel workstreams
• Awareness of frameworks such as NIS2; CTEM experience is a plus

• Strong, demonstrable knowledge of HPE / Juniper (switching, routing, wireless)
• Hands-on experience with one or more of the following:

Palo Alto (NGFW, Panorama / Strata Cloud Manager, Prisma, Cortex XDR), SentinelOne

• Familiarity with technologies like Infoblox, Vectra, Abnormal, Silverfort, Armis is a plus
